Don't all cats deserve a life like this?

Simon was rescued by the UKRCC and now has a loving home, where he is free to sleep where he likes, when he likes, just like all the 400+ cats that the UKRCC have rehomed over the past 4 years.

But lately life is becoming much harder for cats not as lucky as Simon, because they are falling victim to the credit crunch too.

Like many rescues across the UK, in the current economic crisis the UKRCC are finding it increasingly difficult to secure homes for the Ragdolls and other cats who so desparately need them. The number of people coming forward to adopt has decreased significantly, while we have seen a rise in the number of cats coming to us for help. Many of the cats we have looking for new families are older or have behavioural or health issues and these cats are so often over looked, in favour of younger, problem free cats, even though they will all be wonderful companions, given the opportunity of a loving family.

As a small charity the UKRCC finds itself at a critical point, with our foster homes full and we are coming to the point where we will have to face the unthinkable, turning cats away.

Right now there are cats who cannot find homes and they face an uncertain future.

Even if you are not able to offer a home to one of the cats we have seeking new families, you can still do your bit to help us. Below are posters, featuring some of the cats we currently have in foster care, who really do deserve a new home. If you can, please download and print a copy of one or more of the posters and ask your local vet or local boarding cattery to display them on their notice boards.

Please help us to secure these beautiful cats their forever homes and in doing so free up some of our foster homes so we can help more cats to find their happy ending. Thank you.
