United Kingdom Ragdoll Cat Community Photo Cat Show

The UKRCC photo cat show has been launched and is now open to anyone who wishes to get involved, show off their cat and have some fun. All proceeds raised will be used to rescue, rehabiliate and rehome Ragdoll cats, who find themselves in poor circumstances. The competition will be judged by GCCF judge, Elaine Culf, who has kindly offered to give her time to help us.

The cat show is open to all cats, Ragdolls, other pedigree breeds and moggies. Your cat does not need to be of 'show quality'. Mismarked cats are very welcome in our show and if you have more than one cat in your home, then you can enter them too.

The categories are as follows:

Ragdoll Kittens (up to 9 mths)
Colourpointed
Mitted
Bi Coloured
Red Series(including torties)

Adult Ragdolls
Colourpointed
Mitted
Bi Coloured
Red Series(including torties)

* Tabby Ragdolls should be entered into the appropriate pattern category.

All other pedigree cats

Household
For all moggies and non pedigrees

The winners of each category will receive a special certificate, along with a personlised keyring featuring their cat's photo. For those achieveing Best in Show for each overall category, trophies will be awarded, which the winning cats will hold for one year.

Trophies will be awarded for the following:

Best in Show - Ragdoll kitten

Best in Show - Ragdoll Adult

Best in Show - All other breeds

Best in Show - Household

If you would like to join in the fun, while helping us help needy Ragdoll cats, you can enter your cat(s) in one of three easy ways:

Visit and join the UKRCC forum at www.ukrcc.co.uk/forum and post your own pictures in the relevant category in the UKRCC Photo Cat Show section

E-mail your pictures to topazicatz@hotmail.co.uk. Please include your name, the name of your cat and the category you are entering them for.

Send your photos to: Beth Farrant, 25 Manor Farm Green, Middleton, Leeds LS10 3RL.
Please include your cat's name and the category you are entering them for, along with your name and a contact phone number. If you would like your photos returned, please enclose a stamp addressed envelope and write your name on the back of the photo.

Remember this is a photo cat show, so be sure to submit photos of good quality, which show your cat at their very best.

Entry fees are £5 for the first cat and then £2.50 for each subsequent cat. Payments can be made via paypal or by cheque. For details please visit our donate page. Only entries submitted with payment will be judged.

The closing date for entries is 31st January 2009. The winners will be announced on the UKRCC website and forum on 1st March 2009.

The judges decison is final.
